Sustainability in the Brewery

At Twisted Pine we see ourselves as part of the local community.  As a strong supporter of sustainable business practices here are a few of the measures we have implemented in our brewery:

• Twisted Pine has been partially offset by wind power since 2000

• Our 6-pack carriers are made of 100% recycled cardboard

• Spent grain from the brewing of our beers is fed to local cattle
  
  
• All cardboard and paper packaging is recycled

• Cold water used to cool down our hot wort before fermentation is pumped back into our Hot Liquor Tank.  This aids in water conservation and reduces the need to heat this water from tap temperature to mash temperature.

• Employees are encouraged to ride their bikes to work

• We are a long time supporter of Resource Yard used building materials

• The majority of the equipment at Twisted Pine has had a past life in another US brewery
